House of Pollutants
„ETI’s House of Pollutants™“ is a typical Western European apartment building with a garage and a bike shed, built in the 1960s or 1970s. Various potentially contaminated building components and materials are highlighted on the building shell as well as in two model rooms.
During our training courses and workshops we present our “House of Pollutants™” with examples of possible applications and sources of contamination, their identification and their specific management.
„ETI’s House of Pollutants™“ does not only focus on materials containing Asbestos, but also shows other sources of pollution, e.g. PCBs, CPs, PAHs, wood preservers and flame retardants, heavy metals microbiological contaminants, etc., which are often detected in private homes, public buildings as well as in small and medium-sized enterprises and industries.
Both the building shell and the interiors are inspected, sampled and assessed during the check of a building.
We constantly follow the development of international chemical conventions and regulations, in order to ensure that the latest banned chemicals and associated materials are integrated in our checks and surveys at an early stage.
Come and visit „ETI’s House of Pollutants™“ and its two demonstration rooms: a kitchen and a bathroom. You might be surprised to see the number and nature of potentially harmful substances and materials hidden in the house.
